Problems

The client needed a brand identity that reflected their product's unique form and functionality. The objective was to create a visually compelling brand image that highlighted the company's commitment to Scandinavian minimalism and natural materials. At the same time, the brand needed a strong online presence to showcase its products and services.

SOLUTION

The product's naming refers to the Swedish "HUS”, meaning home, and “CUBE”, symbolizing modularity, simplicity, and timeless form. The entire branding process revolved around the shape of a cube. I used this form as a building block, exploring variations to create a logo that symbolized modularity and space optimization. This approach carried over to the design of icons and typography, creating a cohesive visual language that reflects the container house concept. I chose a visual language that merges the brand’s narratives of nature and freedom into a consistent aesthetic that spans branding, architecture, and digital and print materials.

Summary

As part of a comprehensive design project for HUSCUBE, a manufacturer of modular homes in wooden construction, I led the development of their brand identity and website design. I was also part of a team of architects who developed and delivered architectural concept designs.
